Gail Heywood began studying music with clarinet lessons in Granby, Connecticut. Gail loved everything about music, from singing with siblings and friends to early days in chorus in school. While growing up, Gail loved singing and dancing with her "Memere" (Canadian Grandmother). During high school, she excelled on the clarinet and voice, receiving several awards and participated in regional choirs and bands [and was even drum majorette!]. Gail began the study of piano and theory through tutelage with her high school band teacher. Gail continued her music pursuits, receiving music degrees from Bay Path University and Central Connecticut State University, studying piano with Dr. Charles Page and Dr. Gerald Mack.
Since 1991, Gail Heywood has been providing Central Wisconsin clients with beautiful music. Music is specifically chosen to compliment your event; Gail provides a complimentary session to ensure your special event has just the right music. Free sample wedding CD is available. No piano? No problem! I have my own portable digital keyboard and sound system and can play for your intimate home dinner parties, on site office parties and outdoor garden weddings. I am a full-time pianist and piano teacher. Because I network with Wisconsin Music Teachers Association members, I have contacts for musicians and church musicians in statewide. By special request, I can assist your in finding other musicians and/or vocalists for your special event. I have performed for events at the Hotel Mead (Wisconsin Rapids), the Stevens Point Holiday Inn, the Ramada Inn, the Chapel in the Woods (Waupaca), Lake DuBay, Lensmire Gardens (Plover), the Willow Springs Gardens (Wausau), and at churches in Plover, Rudolph, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids.
